The match between PSIM Jogja vs Semen Padang was marked by the drama of Alfriyanto Nico’s red card in the first half which made him leave the field. Laskar Mataram coach, Kas Hartadi, admitted that he was shocked by the red card incident.
The match between PSIM Jogja vs Semen Padang ended in a 0-0 draw and it was quite tough. Laskar Mataram dominated the match, but several opportunities were not able to be converted into goals.
Quite a tough match for PSIM Jogja. The reason is, since the 14th minute PSIM had to play with 10 players after Alfriyanto Nico was given a red card for headbutting a Semen Padang player.
Responding to this, coach Kas Hartadi admitted that he was surprised that his player received a red card and was forced to leave the field.
“I was also surprised. I thought I only knew it was sledding. To be more precise, I don’t know either,” said Kas Hartadi during the press conference session after the match.
The Solo-born coach said it was possible that Nico was provoked by the emotions of the Semen Padang players. Remembering that previously, Nico was violated by player Kabau Sirah.
“So when the referee got the red card, I was really shocked. Maybe he was provoked by emotion,” he said.
Kas admitted that he had previously warned the players not to be provoked by emotions in this fairly decisive match.
“In fact, previously I warned the players not to get emotional. That’s what I said last night,” said the former Dewa United coach.
Meanwhile, with this result PSIM Jogja is stuck in third position with a score of 6 points. In the top position is Persiraja Aceh with 9 points followed by Semen Padang in second place with 7 points.
