PSI highlights the reduction in the seating capacity of the event’s spectators Formula E Jakarta is too far from the initial target. PSI revealed, in the 2020 regional capital participation (PMD) proposal, JakPro targeted 90,000 people to watch Formula E.
“The 90,000 figure comes from JakPro’s 2020 proposal. So when they asked PMD to hold Formula E, the target in the document was 90,000 spectators,” said a member of the DKI Jakarta DPRD from the PSI faction, Anggara Wicitra, to reporters, Monday. (28/3/2022).
PSI then felt that they had been lied to by the Formula E organizing committee and the DKI Provincial Government. The reason is, he thinks that the change in the target audience should be followed by a revision of the feasibility study.
In addition, Anggara also highlighted BPK’s recommendations in the DKI Jakarta government report in 2019 which the Provincial Government had never implemented.
“Until today, there has never been a revision feasibility study (FS) because that’s the result of BPK’s recommendation that’s it, so the results of the BPK, the provincial government, and the organizers of Formula E have several points. First, they have never done revisions to the FS, then secondly involves the sponsors,” he said.
“So when the figures from yesterday’s explanation were that the audience seats were only 10 thousand, we felt that we were all being lied to as a congregation,” he continued.
