This weekend, a woman went to a police station and told them that she had been raped by Paris Saint-Germain’s Moroccan star Achraf Hakimi. The woman did not want to report the whole thing, but despite this, prosecutors decided to start an investigation.
That investigation has now led to the decision to prosecute Achraf Hakimi for rape, according to the news agency AFP.
During the World Cup this winter, Achraf Hakimi was part of the Moroccan football team that made history and became the first African team ever to reach a World Cup semi-final.
As recently as this weekend, he was also celebrated by being selected for the world team in 2022 during The Best gala. Just a few hours before the gala, the French newspaper Le Parisien had written about the rape suspicions.
