Thanks to financial support from Qatar, Paris Saint-Germain has hit the transfer market like no other club in recent years. The result: a lot of class, but also a big squad. That should change in the next two transfer periods.

According to information from Foot Mercato, the PSG bosses around President Nasser Al-Khelaifi and sporting director Leonardo want to monetize seven professionals from the first team. As the French online portal reports, center forward Mauro Icardi (28) should leave the Prinzenpark. With a suitable offer, the Argentine can pack his things as early as January.
With the center forward, PSG must take into account a big negative business. After a strong first season on loan, PSG signed him for 50 million euros from Inter Milan in 2020. Meanwhile, its market value is only estimated at 35 million euros (source: Transfermarkt.de)

Icardi makes headlines for Ehe-Zoff with Wanda
In the past few months, the 28-year-old attracted more attention through his private life (on-off relationship with wife and consultant Wanda Nara) than through performance on the lawn. In the last four match days, Icardi was not taken into account twice and was only used for almost 20 minutes.

Ex-Barça jewel Rafael Alcantara should also go
Rafael Alcantara (contract until 2023), the younger brother of Liverpool playmaker Thiago Alcantara, is also on the Ligue 1 leader’s hit list. The Brazilian international, who came from Barça on a free transfer, hardly plays a role under Mauricio Pochettino – as does Leandro Paredes (27), who could also be surrendered.
After Gianluigi Donnarumma (22) signed on, there is no longer any need for further collaboration with Sergio Rico (28). The Spanish number 3 should also go. A change to the Primera Division is under discussion.
In the event of a reasonable offer, PSG would allegedly also release defenders Abdou Diallo (25), Thilo Kehrer (25) and Layvin Kurzawa (29) from their working papers.
