Neymar suffered a sprained ankle and ankle ligament damage in last weekend’s league game against Lille OSC. His employability in the Champions League cracker against Bayern Munich is still uncertain.
Neymar came to a painful end in the home game with Lille (4-3) on Sunday and was carried off the field on a stretcher. Due to the ankle injury, he will miss next weekend’s competition match with Olympique Marseille anyway.
The injury will be reassessed early next week. Then there will also be an update from PSG, which will play the return against Bayern Munich in the eighth finals in more than two weeks. The first game, in Paris, was won by the Germans 0-1.
PSG hopes to keep the long-cherished Champions League dream alive in the Allianz Arena and can use Neymar in doing so. The wealthy club from Paris is still waiting for the first overall victory in the ball of millions.
So the top match against number two Marseille awaits leader PSG first (kick-off on Sunday at 8.45 p.m.). Six days later, Nantes is the opponent in the competition. The duel with Bayern starts on March 8 at 9 p.m.
