PSG painfully defeated against Monaco after goals from Mbappé | NOW

Paris Saint-Germain suffered a painful defeat in Ligue 1 on Friday. The Parisians lost a 0-2 lead on a visit to AS Monaco in the second half and lost 3-2.

There was initially no problem for PSG. After 37 minutes it was already 0-2. Kylian Mbappé, who returned after a few weeks of injury, opened the score against his old club in the 25th minute after a nice acceleration and doubled the margin more than ten minutes later from a penalty kick.

After the break, however, it went completely wrong for PSG. Kevin Volland, who was taken over from Bayer Leverkusen last summer, made the tying goal with a ticker (1-2) in the 52nd minute and also tied the score in the 65th minute with another ticker (2-2).

PSG was completely out of the picture and to make matters worse, gave the victory to Monaco as a gift. Abdou Diallo clumsily lost the ball to Volland and brought him down in the penalty area, after which he received a red card and Cesc Fàbregas used the penalty kick to set the final score at 3-2.

At PSG, Neymar, who, like Mbappé, was missing for a while due to an injury, came in for Angel Di Maria after an hour, but he could not avert an embarrassment. Mitchel Bakker, who still played with the Juniors on Wednesday, came in halfway through the second half.

Despite the third loss of the season, PSG continues to lead in Ligue 1. The reigning national champion has four points ahead of number two Monaco. Number four Olympique Marseille has the same loss of points than PSG, which has played two more games.
