PSG wants guarantees to confirm the signing of Moscardo, ex-Corinthians
Luis Campos, PSG’s sporting director, tried to reassure the athlete, his family and representatives, all worn out by the “soap opera” that has been going on since the end of last year. The French club argues with the Corinthians how to keep the business afloat, and the most likely scenario at the moment is that Gabriel Moscardo will remain at Timão until the middle of the year.
The transfer was taken for granted until weeks ago. PSG and Corinthians reached an agreement for the sale for 20 million euros (around R$107 million) and two million bonuses (R$10.7 million). However, an injury to the midfielder’s left heel, diagnosed during tests in France, stopped the deal.

O Corinthians, on the other hand, is in a hurry to sign the agreement agreed at the end of last year, under the management of Duilio Monteiro Alves. The new president, Augusto Melo, even said that if the contract was not signed by the end of this week he could ask Gabriel Moscardo back.
According to the agreement initially made, the Corinthians would receive the first installment from the sale of Moscardo in May. This period may be extended in the new negotiation.
It is expected that the athlete will take three months to recover from surgery. It is not yet decided whether, if the sale is confirmed, the young man will return to play for Timão or will just continue training at the club.
