Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) crushed Montpellier 6-0 today in the second round of French football after beating Le Havre 4-1 last week, a start that would quickly make Kylian Mbappé forgettable.

At the start of the second matchday of Ligue 1, the Parisians made their debut at their home ground, the majestic Parc des Princes, where coach Luis Enrique sent an unexpected trident into attack, with Ousmane Dembélé, Marco Asensio and Bradley Barcola, who did not disappoint.
Barcola opened the scoring in the City of Light as early as the fourth minute and the visitors were unable to stop the goal haemorrhage, led by a double from the 21-year-old striker, who also scored in the 53rd minute.
Asensio in the 24th minute, full-back Achraf Hakimi in the 58th, midfielder Warrem Zaire-Emery in the 60th and substitute Lee Kang-in in the 82nd added to the rout, which put the reigning French champions in the lead early on, in a matchday that has only just begun.
The expectation is already on the third appearance in the capital, on Sunday of next week against the difficult Lille.
The young Ligue 1 will continue tomorrow with the interesting duel between Olympique Lyon and Monaco, clubs that started the season in opposite directions, Les Gones defeated 0-3 in Rennes and the Monegasques won 1-0 at home against promoted Saint Etienne.
Lille-Angers and Saint Etienne-Le Havre will also clash on Saturday.
