It appears that Paris Saint-Germain have identified Bayern Munich star Robert Lewandowski as their official fallback plan should Kylian Mbappe follow through on his threats to leave the club:
Paris Saint-Germain are considering a move for Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski if Kylian Mbappe does not sign a new contract at the end of the season.
Le10Sport reports that the Ligue 1 squad are keen to get the Poland international moving if he loses Mbappe and makes him one of the club’s top earners.
Mbappe, 22, is without a contract at the end of the season, and with Real Madrid’s interest and a contract deal that doesn’t seem any closer, the Parisians are looking for potential successors.
Lewandowski, 33, would prefer a stay at Bayern for the time being, but has not ruled out a possible departure from Germany.
These rumors linking Timo Werner to Bayern Munich are likely to get stronger. The Germany international is reportedly rethinking his decision to stay with Chelsea and could plan his exit:
Timo Werner “will reassess his future at Chelsea” if he fails to find his way back to Thomas Tuchel’s starting XI.
That’s according to a new report from the Telegraph, which says the Germany international is concerned about his lack of playing time with the Blues so far this season, with the arrival of Romelu Lukaku meaning he has fallen into the hierarchy.
Werner has played five times in the Premier League this season, but Tuchel has only used the 25-year-old since the start on two separate occasions – most recently, in the 1-0 loss to Manchester City this weekend alongside by Lukaku. The German striker was an unused replacement in Chelsea’s 1-0 Champions League loss to Juventus on Wednesday night.
Bayern Munich are said to be interested in Werner, as well as Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Haaland, with Julian Nagelsmann now in charge at the Allianz Arena.
Nagelsmann worked with Werner during their days at RB Leipzig, and discussions about a reunion have recently been fueled by the striker’s move to Sports360 – the same group as his former boss.
Werner only joined Chelsea at the start of last season but fell short of the heights expected of him following his £ 45million transfer from Leipzig.
Inter Milan are said to be considering a serious race against Matthias Ginter:
German national player Matthias Ginter is on the list of many international clubs. Ginter’s name has also reportedly been discussed at Bayern. Now, we know that the Milan club Inter Milan would like to embark on a new adventure with the central defender.
As Sport Bild reports, the Italians have been digging the 27-year-old for two years. But the required transfer fee of € 40million has so far been too high for the Milanese. The Nerrazzurri are again very interested in the Gladbacher and would like to guide him to Milan.
Ginter’s contract with Borussia Mönchengladbach expires next summer. In Gladbach, we hope that the contract with Ginter can be extended. Manager Max Eberl says he wants to wait for the right time to make Ginter a proper offer.
Midfielder Dennis Zakaria’s plans to sell this summer to invest in a contract extension for Ginter have failed. Both players’ contracts will now expire next summer.
Ginter, of course, has also been linked with Bayern Munich as an option if Niklas Süle made the move to the Premier League. Süle has been loosely linked with Chelsea FC, Arsenal, Tottemham Hotspur and Manchester United.
Bayern Munich face Eintracht Frankfurt in the Bundesliga this weekend and the Bavarians will look to stay warm.
Bayern Munich are on an incredible race where everything Julian Nagelsmann has touched turns to gold. Can Die Roten continue? I would bet to say they can.
Here’s what we have in the works for the episode:
A quick look at who came out for Bayern Munich. The streak of crazy dummies in which Eintracht Frankfurt is involved. How Die Adler are less talented than recent seasons. An appreciation of Filip Kostic. Who could start for Bayern Munich. A prediction on the match.
As always, thank you for your support and let us know what you think!
Joshua Kimmich continues to receive rave reviews for his play:
FC Barcelona will stay with manager Ronald Koeman … at least for now:
Barcelona’s board are not convinced about the idea of sacking Ronald Koeman ahead of the game against Atletico Madrid, according to a report from Roger Torello of MD.
Meeting at Wanda Metropolitano is a high pressure situation, and they think making a change on the bench before such a huge game would be the wrong approach.
Ronald Koeman, meanwhile, will live until October 2 as manager of FC Barcelona. Its continuation after that, however, is in danger.
Since the start of the season, the Dutchman has been under pressure. The dismal start to the UEFA Champions League, on the other hand, seems to be the last nail in its coffin. The team were humiliated in their first games against Bayern Munich and Benfica, and now face possible elimination in the group stage for the first time in 20 years.
Bayern Munich absolutely strangled Dynamo Kyiv 5-0 behind a completely dominating effort.
It’s another great win in what has been a series of incredibly good performances. Julian Nagelsmann has his boys who play wonderfully in all areas of the pitch. Here’s what we have in the works for this episode:
An overview of who scored, who played, who replaced. An appreciation of how well things are going for Bayern Munich at this point under Nagelsmann. Any question on why Marcel Sabitzer doesn’t have more time than he has? Is it a slow integration? Is he underperforming in training? The good feelings of seeing Manuel Neuer wrap up another blank sheet. Some thoughts on the dangerousness of this team.
