Paris St. Germain may have to compensate for Lionel Messi’s departure next summer. The Argentine is strongly linked to his return to Barça. To replace the 35-year-old, the Ligue 1 club could turn to Milan, where Portuguese Rafael Leão is showing excellent performance.
The 23-year-old has already excelled with four goals and seven assists in eleven appearances for the Rossoneri this season. According to “tuttoosport”, Paris St. Germain looks at the young striker with eagle eyes and could start a transfer offensive next summer. The French are far from alone in their interest in Rafael Leão. Famous Premier League clubs, including Chelsea and Manchester City, are said to have international on the list.
Leão is contractually bound to Milan until 2024. The Italians want to extend the contract. A departure next summer would only be conceivable if an affected club activates the € 150m release clause.
PSG also has another Serie A player in its sights: Inter Milan Skriniar has been at the top of their wish list for some time.
