Le Parisien now returns every weekend to all the results and highlights of sporting events in Ile-de-France.

The golden series: PSG is getting closer to 30/30

HANDBALL. A victory. After their success (38-33) on the Saint-Raphaël floor on Saturday evening, the capital’s players are only one success away from achieving a performance that will go down in history: completing an entire championship season by having won all the matches. Nikola Karabatic and his teammates are at 29. The last match, which will take place on Wednesday evening (8:30 p.m.) at Coubertin against Créteil (which lost 27-29 this Sunday against Istres), will have a special flavor: it will be the farewell in the lair of the club of several players (Hansen, Remili, Gérard, Genty, Kounkoud), who will nevertheless play a last match next Saturday at the Accor Arena in the final of the Coupe de France against Toulouse.

The flop: Pontault cracked

HANDBALL. We could have witnessed this Sunday afternoon in Dijon a beautiful final of the 2nd division French championship between two clubs from the Paris region. Beaten on their own the day before, they went straight home.

The biggest disappointment is for Pontault, who played his rise in Starligue over an hour. Third in the regular season after a magnificent second half of the season, the Seine-et-Marnais failed against Cherbourg, their pet peeve (28-34), which was ahead of them by one place in the standings. It is the second consecutive failure at this stage of the competition for the Pontello club, which held on for twenty minutes before suffering the law of the Cherbourgeois.

In Ivry, we would certainly have preferred to finish the exercise with the most perfect of marks. Guaranteed to join the elite having flown through the regular season, Sébastien Quintallet’s men were the big favorites against Sélestat for the title, which crowned the victorious team of the final. Badly embarked from the start, the Val-de-Marnais ran after the score, without result (28-33). They will be accompanied by the Alsatians, victorious (36-30) from Cherbourg in the match for the climb.
