Is the first Zoff approaching the star ensemble of Paris Saint-Germain? Apparently, European champion Gianluigi Donnarumma does not agree with his role as a substitute for Keylor Navas at all.
According to a report by Corriere della Sera Consultant Mino Raiola is already considering various scenarios if his client’s situation does not change by the end of this season. Even a move to Juventus Turin next summer is not excluded.
Navas is backed by Messi, Neymar and Co.
Donnarumma, who was voted the best player of the tournament at the European Championships, moved from AC Milan to PSG in the summer on a free transfer. The 22-year-old expected that there would be a duel with Navas. Donnarumma would not have thought that he would play so little himself.
According to Corriere della Sera the Costa Rican Navas enjoys the support of the South America faction in the cabin, which includes Lionel Messi, Neymar, Angel Di Maria, Marquinhos and Leandro Paredes. Newcomer Donnarumma, on the other hand, does not (yet) have this support in the team.
Coach Mauricio Pochettino recently expressed himself diplomatically about the situation. “Both goalkeepers are exceptional, even in daily training. It’s a tough decision but it’s nice to see that both Navas and Donnarumma are alert and could be part of the starting XI,” said the Argentine.
Donnarumma has played two games in the league so far, and the Italian should also play against Montpellier on Saturday (9:00 p.m.). Navas did not take part in the final training on Friday.
