After a golden run in the Chance League, the Rams are building a new team for next season, so far they have said goodbye to several players on their website. For example, Pavel Kubiš, Jiří Ondráček or Antonín Honejsek still do not fit into the Zlín concept.

After a terrible autumn, the Moravian club wrote a great story: thanks to the final sprint, it rose to the top of the Chance League and fought to return to the domestic elite in the cross-match competition.

Despite the lost playoff series with Kladno, nothing has changed about the ambitions for the next years. Leadership plan? Become a regular in the extra league again.

Sports manager and head coach Miloš Říha is working on the composition of the squad with such a vision. That’s why the veteran is leaving

“I would like to thank Pavlo for everything he has done for the club. It’s unbelievable how much he played for Zlín. He is clearly a candidate for the Zlín Hockey Hall of Fame,” reports general manager Robert Hamrla.

The Zlín legend has experienced ups and downs in yellow and blue colors, only two players in the club’s history have made more starts. Kubiš received an offer from the management to work with the youth, when he finally says goodbye to hockey.
