Georginio Wijnaldum admit that you are not happy PSG because he rarely played, even though he was promised to be a starter. Gregory van der Wiel already felt it.
Georginio Wijnaldum chose not to renew his contract at Liverpool and moved on a free transfer to Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) last summer. Wijnaldum was lured by a big salary and the opportunity to play in the main squad.
What can you do, at the start of the 2021/2022 season, Wijnaldum is not always the main choice for coach Mauricio Pochettino.
“I’m not completely satisfied (regarding his career at PSG). The situation is not in my favor, but that’s football,” said Georginio Wijnaldum as quoted by ESPN.
“I was actually so excited about this new adventure and then it happened. It’s very difficult indeed. You must be worried when you don’t play. But this is just the start of the season. Anything can happen and I’m trying to stay positive.”
What Wijnaldum felt was already felt by his senior Gregory van der Wiel at PSG. Reported from Mark, van der Wiel admitted that he was not happy at PSG because he was consumed by false promises!
“They (the PSG said), you will be the first choice and a lot of playing time. However, in reality you are not,” he recalled.
“I was not happy while I was there,” he said.

Gregory van der Wiel bought PSG from Ajax in 2012. This right wing-back, at that time was indeed called a young player with potential.
