The Social Democrat senator Lucian Romaşcanu declared, on Friday, in a press conference, that PSD cannot agree with the granting of facilities for the vaccinated persons, as long as the rulers fail to increase the rate of vaccinated Romanians, writes News.ro.
“Mr. Cîţu came out today and said that PSD is to blame again for not vaccinating the world. But ask Mayor Toma to tell you more about how local governments were left without any support to increase the number of vaccinated. Mr Cîţu promised and the government promised that we will have 70% of the population vaccinated by September, and we are currently ranked 24th out of 27 in the European Union. Disastrously, we are dealing with the number of vaccinated and this with only one dose. And, as we see now in their communication, it is added to the vaccinated and those who have gone through the disease only, we will only get to the number of immunized where they said. So it is a disaster in terms of vaccination, and hence the unacceptability of a vaccination certificate from our PSD, “said Senator Lucian Romaşcanu, on Friday, in a press conference at the PSD Buzau headquarters.
Romaşcanu states that he could agree with the facilities granted to those vaccinated, but only after the whole population will have access to the vaccine and a vaccination rate of over 60% will be reached.
“It may be a variant, but by no means now. When you do not give access to vaccination to people, when you divide rural and urban into two totally different sectors, and those in rural areas almost do not have access to vaccination, when you do not have the confidence that people come to vaccinate you can not segregate Romania into two categories population. In the context in which you use this type of action, aberrant in fact, to boost vaccination, first ensure the conditions, bring vaccination to 50-60% of the population and then you can think of giving benefits to those vaccinated. But when you have so little vaccinated in the country, you can’t come with something like that now, at this moment “, concluded the senator from Buzau.
