Jayapura, Jubi – PSBS Biak is still proving itself as the favorite team to advance to the semi-final round play-off promotion, after their success in winning three points over Persipal Palu with a score of 1-0 in Group Z which took place at the Cenderawasih Stadium, Wednesday (17/1/2024).
PSBS won thanks to the only goal scored by naturalized striker from Brazil, Albeto Goncalves in the 32nd minute.
PSBS is now even stronger at the top of Group Z with perfect results, collecting 9 points from three wins. They still have three matches left to determine their steps towards the semifinals.
After winning over Persipal, PSBS Biak coach Regi Aditya admitted that his team played with the best performance. They dedicated these three points to the entire Biak Numfor community and supporters.
“This can all happen because of God’s grace, and the children have tried so hard and carried out the instructions well. I congratulate the players, this victory is not only for the team but for the Biak Numfor community in general. “Thank you for today’s victory,” said Aditya at the press conference session after the match in Biak.
PSBS captain, Ruben Sanadi is also happy that his team can continue the positive trend and achieve a third win in Group Z. He hopes that the victory over Persipal will be valuable capital for his team to finish the remaining three matches.
“We are grateful for the three points today, and thank God there were no injured players from this match. Today was better than the previous game. “Hopefully this can be good capital for our team,” said Sanadi.
“To all the people of Papua and Biak Numfor, continue to support us in prayer so that what we aspire to can be achieved. Because we still have three games left in the group phase.”
The team nicknamed Pacific Storm still has three matches remaining in the second round against Persipal Palu, Gresik United and Persewar Waropen.
