PSBB in Tangerang City Again Extends until 12 July

TANGERANG, KOMPAS.com – Large-scale social restrictions (PSBB) in Tangerang City were extended again until July 12.

Banten Governor Wahidin Halim emphasized that the PSBB in Tangerang Raya, including the City of Tangerang, was extended in the hope that it would provide public awareness in Banten to implement health protocols while on the move.

“The PSBB was extended to include a variety of instruments that were adjusted to matters that were still subject to social social complaints,” Wahidin Halim said in a written statement on Sunday (6/28/2020).

Tangerang Mayor Arief Wismansyah confirmed the decision made by the Banten Governor.

Arief said that the extension of the PSBB in the Tangerang City area did not have too much impact because some activities had been relaxed.

“The point remains PSBB, which has not been loosened parks, sports venues, but the community is already on the PSBB itself, actually already loose,” Arief said when contacted Kompas.com, Monday (6/29/2020).

Arief said the extension of the PSBB was so that the public remained disciplined and began to realize the importance of health protocols that had to be lived in the Covid-19 pandemic.

“We hope that the public will remain disciplined, so that the implementation of the Covid-19 health protocol is no longer an obligation but a necessity,” he said.

The regulation regarding the extension of the PSBB in the Greater Tangerang region has not been published to this day.

The extension of PSBB in the Greater Tangerang area of ​​Tangerang City, South Tangerang and Tangerang Regency will start today until the 12th of July.
