Next year, the PSA Group will enter the market of the smallest electrical supplies, in bulk. In our market, where it is currently sold Renault Kangoo ZE and Nissan e-NV200 and basically nothing more, three pieces will be added – Peugeot e-Partner, Citroën ë-Berlingo and Opel Combo-e. A little later, personal versions of all deliveries are also being prepared.
–
All the new products will offer a 50kWh battery and an electric motor with an output of 136 hp, which are the same parameters as for the Peugeot e-208 and Opel Corsa-e. The supply drive will also be taken over from their electrical system. We therefore assume the possibility of fast charging with an output of up to 100 kW, although the press release speaks of only two versions of the on-board AC charger – with an output of 7.4 or 11 kW.
–
Compared to the aforementioned kangoo ZE, the novelties will have two advantages – a 17 kWh larger battery, and thus a longer range on a single charge, and the anticipated possibility of fast charging.
–
Compared to the e-NV200, the advantages are the same, but not so significant, as Nissan offers a 40 kWh battery and uses the CHAdeMO connector for fast charging, which is limited by a charging power of 62.5 kW.
–
The price list of electrical supplies for the PSA Group is not yet in the world, but to illustrate, the kangoo ZE starts at 704 thousand crowns and the e-NV200 at 877 thousand crowns, both of course without VAT. It is also not yet known whether Toyota will offer an electric version of its ProAce City, which comes from the same family.
–
Electrification in the commercial vehicle segment is a difficult topic, as charging downtime for these vehicles can mean financial losses for their operators, and few people start doing such a thing. Nevertheless, electric deliveries can be ideal for city delivery if they manage to recharge 100 percent overnight at the depot, and a real range for the whole day of work is enough.
