Whoever wants to buy a PlayStation 5 has so far been dependent almost exclusively on mail order companies such as Amazon and Otto or the online shops of MediaMarkt, Müller and Expert. That is gradually changing, because stationary providers are increasingly working with PS5 waiting lists.

The deal: leave your name, address and telephone number, deposit at least € 100 and then wait for the branch to contact you. In some cases, games, accessories or warranty extensions have to be purchased additionally.

Sounds good at first. The disadvantage: The PS5 waiting lists in many places already extend to December and far beyond – in some cases the spring of 2022 is given. More and more markets are also stopping acceptance because the interest is significantly greater than the number of consoles that have been promised.

So if you want to experience a nice mess with the PlayStation 5, you have to know exactly where there are still free places on the local lists.
