Through the official PlayStation website , Sony Interactive Entertainment announced that it has decided to cancel one of the PS5 exclusive features introduced at the console’s launch: we are talking about the creditswhich will no longer be available from Fall 2022.
The PlayStation support site writes: “At the end of 2022, the Credits feature on PlayStation 5 will no longer be supported, as it did not produce the expected level of usage. So we are shifting our focus. We encourage the community to continue sending positive messages to each other.”
The Credits feature allowed users to send some kind of feedback to other players in some multiplayer games. The PS5 Acknowledgments are of the type: “Helpful”, “Welcoming”, “Happy Sportsman” and “Leader”. It’s a way to communicate with other players, not on our friends list, and make online gaming more positive. Clearly, though, the feature wasn’t used enough.
Sony in the last period reported that the degree of interaction with the PlayStation has dropped, but it already has plans to try to reverse this situation.
