A Reddit user discovered the new PS5 feature when he got a Trophy for it Demon’s Souls had passed. He uploaded the Trophy video and suddenly realized his vote was in it. The console uses the microphone in the DualSense controller to put the audio of your voice into the video. So if you’re having a small party after beating that one boss, the whole party will be captured in your video.
Trophy videos cost a lot of cleaning up on PS5
The videos around Trophies on the PS5 are turned on by default in the console. These give you a short reminder of when you got the Tropy, but take up quite a bit of space from the SSD. You can turn these videos off in the settings of the PlayStation 5. If you do that, your voice will no longer be recorded.
The videos of the Trophies are also saved on your SSD by default, so you can also delete them manually. If you have won a really tough Trophy or just have a spectacular video of winning a Trophy, you can also share it with others. This can be done via social media, for example.
