PS5 having trouble transferring gameplay? Microsoft replies: in Xbox we put players first

For several days, there has been surprising information about problems with transferring progress from PS4 to PS5. Successive developers confirm the inconvenience, so it is no coincidence that Microsoft decided to present his proposal. Major Nelson confirms full cloud save over four generations.

Sony has still not presented details on transferring the game between PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, but subsequent developers confirm that such an option will not be available on consoles of the Japanese corporation.

Creators Yakuza: Like a Dragon, DiRT 5 and Maneater mentioned the lack of the expected feature and the portability of progress between PS4 and PS5. In addition, the team behind the shark adventure decided to explain the situation and revealed an important detail: in the Sony system, items from PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 are separate games.

Larry Hryb and Aaron Greenberg published some appropriate commentary on the situation – the former confirmed that cloud recording works on four generations of Xboxes. The company has previously indicated that the Xbox Series X | S received full backward compatibility support.

The situation was also commented by the head of Xbox marketing, who emphasized that his company “puts players first.”

We have to admit that we are witnessing a surprising situation here, because Sony still does not comment on the matter, and subsequent developers confirm the problem and announce that their games will not receive, among other things, the option to transfer the states of the game.
