ENTERTAINING Sony PlayStation 5 games are coming soon and reportedly have fixed storage capacity. However, enthusiasts plan to install and store lots of games, which will likely increase storage space. But it should be noted that PS5 does not support expanding storage at launch.

City Ubergizmo, Saturday (7/11/2020), in a statement, Sony said that the expansion of PS5 storage capacity will be carried out at a later date.
While the PS5 has the necessary components to expand storage space, it appears that the PS5 will be disabled at launch and only activated at a later date via a software update.
Previously, this was discussed by PlayStation hardware architect Mark Cerny. He said the PS5’s ability to expand storage could come via solid state drives (SSD).

“It would be great if that happened with the launch, but it might be a little dated, so wait till you get that M.2 drive until you hear from us,” said Cerny.
