It wasn’t just the PS5 that received an update this Wednesday (6), no. A new PS4 update can also now be downloaded by old generation users.
Interestingly, both patches made available on this day share the same update notes. Check out version 11.02 below:
- Security fixes have been made to the system software;
- They applied improvements to the performance and stability of the system software;
- Messages and usability on some screens have undergone improvements;
How to install PS4 update?
Your PS4 starts the process automatically, however, if you have disabled this option, you need to go to the Settings > System Software Update tab. So, in the next updates, you won’t be left out.
Before downloading the update, Sony recommends the following precautions:
- Do not install system software just after or just before a power outage.
- Do not turn off the system during installation. Interrupting the installation may cause damage to the system.
- You may not be able to use some applications or content without first updating your system software.
Remember: without the PS4 update, some titles may not run on your console.
