PS4 owners can suddenly stream PS5 games

Out of nowhere, a Remote Play app appears on the PS4 for some, allowing you to stream PlayStation 5 games to your old console.

PlayStation 5 owners may be able to stream games to a PlayStation 4. That reports Video Game Chronicle.

According to the platform, a PS5 Remote Play application is popping up in some users, making it possible to stream PS5 games to the older console.

When launching the application, users can search for a nearby PlayStation 5 and indicate whether they want to stream in 540, 720 or 1080p. Presumably it will be possible to play PlayStation 5 games with a Dualshock 4, something the console does not officially support.

Sony previously announced that the Remote Play app on mobile devices and PC will also work with the PlayStation 5 after the last update.

Whether the Remote Play application will also be rolled out in the Netherlands is still unclear.
