PS3 and PS Vita PS Store will no longer accept card as payment method

A support page gives PlayStation Brazil was recently updated, which revealed that the Sony discontinued payment methods from older consoles.

As of October 27th, it will no longer be possible to use credit or debit card and PayPal to make direct purchases from the PS Store. PlayStation 3 e do PS Vita.

To buy some content from digital stores, you will first need to add funds to your wallet, which is done through a gift certificate.

PlayStation Store Gift Cards are sold in both digital and physical formats.

Remember that Sony almost closed the PS3 and PS Vita digital stores this year, reversing the decision after community complaints.
