PS Plus July 2022 Games: Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War, Alan Wake Remastered, Endling Extinction

It’s the first Tuesday of the month and that’s a great day for PS Plus subscribers. Last week, Sony announced which games would be available to PS Plus subscribers this month, and today is the day! That means gamers can start freeing up disk space for the absolute whopper Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War, Alan Wake Remastered and Endling Extinction.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Cross-Gen Bundle | PS4, PS5

Quite a mouthful, but this means that the Call of Duty release from 2020 is available in both the PS4 and PS5 versions. Anyone who thinks that the Cold War tagline means that the game will not have any action is very wrong.

In Black Ops Cold War we are sent to the early eighties, where we storm iconic locations such as East Berlin, Vietnam, Turkey and the Russian KGB headquarters. We are on the hunt for a dark figure who is the balance of power want to disrupt in order to change history. We are reacquainted with acquaintances, including Woods, Mason and Hudson.

In addition to the single player campaign, players can go wild in the many multiplayer and Zombies modes.

Alan Wake Remastered | PS4, PS5

With the announcement of Alan Wake 2 after the summer, a refresher of the action in the first part is quite welcome. That’s why the appearance of Alan Wake Remastered in the PS Plus line-up comes in handy.

Alan Wake searches for his missing wife, Alice. She has disappeared in the village of Bright Falls, where he discovers pages of a horror story that he supposedly wrote, but which he himself knows nothing about. Has he lost his memory or has he gone completely mad? The story he would have written actually begins to play out before his eyes. Armed only with a flashlight and a pistol, he must face the supernatural elements that try to control him.

Endling – Extinction is Forever | PS4, PS5

Endling is probably the big unknown for many this month. Hopefully unknown doesn’t make you unloved, because Endling is definitely worth checking out. As the title gives away, the game has a clear eco approach. You play as the last fox on earth, so the stakes are high: the survival of the foxes (and more) depends on you! In this 3D sidescroller you move through various environments and you have to defend your offspring against the great dangers of the evil outside world, looking for a safe place for your offspring to grow up.

The three PS plus games can be claimed in the PS Store until July 31.

Even more games for PS Plus Extra and PS Plus Premium

The month has only just begun and Sony has even more in store for PS Plus subscribers. The announcement of the next set of games for PS Plus Extra and PS Plus Premium will take place next Wednesday, after which the games will become available on the third Tuesday of the month.

Tip: Do you want to be informed immediately when the games are available for free in the future? Put the games in your list of favorites now. You will then receive a warning as soon as the games are available for download! This also applies to games that go on sale or receive a permanent price reduction. So it’s a really easy way to hunt for bargains!

The free games for the various PS Plus variants are announced monthly. PS Plus Essential games always become available on the first Tuesday of the month and are announced the Wednesday before.

Unfortunately, a number of games are also leaving PS Plus. The following games will leave PS Plus at the end of the month:

Saints Row Gat Out of Hell
Rogue Stormers
Marvel’s Avengers
Bioshock Remastered
Bioshock Remastered 2
