As seen in a video posted on TikTok, Prusax performs the fiery hit “Moshpit”. However, already during the first verses of the song, the fans absorb the energy of the song so much that they fall over the fence placed by the security guards while dancing.
The rapper apparently noticed that the crowd was behaving recklessly and therefore tried to calm the fans down.
However, the fans did not want to listen – after just 3 minutes, the fence was knocked over for the second time.
Fortunately, none of the fans were injured during the incidents.
The organizers of the festivities in the local municipality tell the TV3 program that the security guards tried to both calm the public and strengthen the fence in between knocking down the fence. Local authorities promise to draw conclusions.
Jānis Goba, head of the West Vidzeme station of the Vidzeme regional administration of the state police, told the TV3 News program: “If this farm had already overturned once, the security guard who ensured the safety of the event should have acted immediately, the whole event should have been stopped immediately.”
“If we look at the Middle East, then the largest number of people killed is exactly in mass events, when they violate each other. They are trampled. Somehow, in Latvia until now, it has been a long time and we have taken such a lighthearted approach to all these events,” continues the representative of the State Police.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Board of the Latvian Producers’ Union, Juris Millers, tells the program: “The concert had to end at that moment. The fact that he continued and, judging by the video, this incident was repeated two more times… This shows that this artist is not aware of the consequences that could have resulted in his career, for example, fatal events at his concert. Hardly any municipality, any concert organizer would want to invite to him again, God forbid, someone in this crowd, would be crushed.”
