Perched in the sky among the branches, he sings from the top of his tree. Enzo Seignourel made a good impression with his video posted online, where he appears with the guitar in hand, on a cypress, 35 meters high. An impressive height from which we fly over Graissessac (Hérault), his native village, on a beautiful market day, while he shoots Kavinsky’s hit “Nightcall”, in an acoustic version, filmed by a drone.
A simple and original staging at the same time: “I’m a pruner by profession but I’ve been making music for a long time and I want to get noticed to make it my job and show my universe, explains the artist. Friends gave me the idea to do it, initially in a joking tone, but I thought it could really unite my two passions: music and trees”.
A cover for her first video
The young man, who also composes his own songs, in a “rather pop-rock” style, chose a cover for his first video, to “better attract attention, with a song that people already know”. Enzo intends to continue the experiment with pieces from his repertoire: “I’ve already seen beautiful trees near Montpellier but I’m waiting for the authorization of the Municipality to access them”, he confides.
The singer-pruner then plans to lead his own treetop tour, all over France… “But I also don’t want to just create a buzz, he specifies. The goal is above all to make my songs known. I think it’s an original way to present them without betraying my values, by doing something that looks like and matches me. »
