The network of telecom operator Proximus is experiencing serious technical failures on Thursday morning. Hundreds of reports appear on Twitter from users from all over the country who cannot make calls.
The reports come from, among others, Brussels, Bruges and Sint-Niklaas: both landlines and mobile numbers appear to be unreachable. The telecom operator writes on Twitter: ‘We are experiencing problems with our mobile network. Some customers cannot call, text or use mobile data. The technical teams are working at full speed to solve it as soon as possible. We apologize for the inconvenience.’
There are problems with the transmitter masts in Anderlecht and Bruges, Proximus customer service responded to complaints from users. Malfunctions have been reported on the site allestoringen.be since just before 8 am. At around 8:30 a.m. there were already 1,300.
