Proximus’ acquisition of edpnet under investigation by the Competition Authority in Belgium.

that’s 1 problem, nowadays with streaming not so bad anymore.

second: they don’t do any advertising (sometimes also understandable if you’re low on resources). You are boxing against the advertising machine of Proximus (MV/Scarlet included)/Telenet. Football, gazettes, on the street/bus shelters, in your mailbox… “the best network in Flanders” and other campaigns to push everything else into the corner (and thus frighten ordinary customers to switch).

As soon as something gets bigger, bought up (eg Scarlet).

I think online comparators are also somewhat biased with reports such as “recommended by us” (coincidentally the duopoly), or putting EDPnet lower in the results (if they are already listed). Paid by the great?

So they have to survive in a corner, without getting too big. Together with “lowest priority” for support (it’s Proximus that owns the network after all). Let alone that they do not appear to be able to offer 1Gbps fiber from Proximus.

So yes, it’s fun for the techie who knows where to find them. And yes, they do advertise some word of mouth, but you won’t get much success with it. “Is that going to work”, “is that to be trusted”, … Sometimes the worst argument of all “then I will no longer be able to use my skynet/telenet address”….
