Provocation caused tension at the protest in Skopje this evening – Balkans

The column was walking calmly through the center of the Macedonian capital when a group of youths began to pelt the participants with various objects. They waited for the procession on a bridge and for no apparent reason began throwing stones and beer bottles, Nova TV reported.

The opposition parties in RSM distanced themselves from the provocateurs

A group of police chased the provocateurs and the tension was quelled relatively quickly.

The protest was called against the French proposal for an agreement with Bulgaria. The participants call it “humiliating” and accuse the rulers of North Macedonia of not protecting the interests of the country.
