Provide Umbrellas and Raincoats, BMKG Says South Sulawesi Has Entered the Transition to the Rainy Season

FAJAR.CO.ID, MAKASSAR — Parts of South Sulawesi (Sulsel) have been hit by rain for the last two days. After months of hot weather resulting in drought.

The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) Region IV Makassar said the rain was a sign. That the South Sulawesi region has entered the transition to the rainy season.

“We have entered the transition season to the rainy season for the South Sulawesi region, especially the western part,” said BMKG Makassar Weather Forecaster, Nur Asia Utami to fajar.co.idWednesday (25/10/2023).

Meanwhile, today, Nur Asia Utami said that rain has returned to parts of South Sulawesi. Namely in North Luwu, Barru, parts of Pangkep, Gowa and Takalar.

“Potential for rain in the Gowa area and surrounding areas,” he said.

Meanwhile, for the Makassae region, he said it was observed to be sunny. It’s just that in the Makassar-Gowa border area there is a potential for rain.

“The potential for light rain in the Gowa area and its surroundings may reach the Gowa-Makassar border area,” he explained.
