The protests in the Georgian capital Tbilisi continues for another nightAP reported.
The situation in front of the Georgian parliament escalated after a group of radical youth tried to break through the iron gates of the buildingbehind which are hundreds of police and riot officers.
At least 76 people have been detained so far.
After the opposition’s actions, the police started using water cannon, which pushed the attackers away from the gate, and the riot police moved outside the perimeter of the buildingbut has not yet taken active action.
Earlier on Wednesday, Giorgi Vashadze, leader of the opposition Agmashenebeli party, issued an ultimatum to authorities to withdraw the foreign agents law from parliament and release all protesters detained the previous day.
After the ultimatum was not fulfilled by the authorities, the opposition decided to surround the building with a human chain, calling it symbolic.

Meanwhile, the main mass of the rally, consisting of students, remains in the square and continues to speak on the microphone.
A day earlier, several thousand people gathered in front of the parliament building to protest against the first reading of the Foreign Agents Bill by the parliamentary majority.
After several warnings, the police took action to disperse the rally. More than 60 opposition activists were detained.
