New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio on Sunday lifted the week-long curfew that was imposed on the city in the face of anti-racism protests sparked by the death of George Floyd.

“Yesterday and last night we saw the best of our city,” tweeted Mr. de Blasio, indicating that the curfew, in effect between 8:00 pm and 5:00 am, was ending “immediately”.
