The Federation of Health Professionals of the Argentine Republic (Fesprosa) confirmed on Tuesday that it will continue its strikes in several regions of the country in defense of the sector and decent wages.

According to the organization, on Thursday at 1:30 p.m. local time, groups representing nursing staff will hold a rally and open radio broadcast in front of the High Court of Justice in the capital to demand that two rulings be ratified that equate their salaries with those of other professionals in the field.

In Santa Fe, the Union of University Health Professionals called for a day of protest for that same day in front of the Legislature, in repudiation of a pension reform that is being carried out in that province.

For their part, the Self-Convened Health Workers of Tucumán will hold a mobilization tomorrow at 7:00 p.m. in Plaza Independencia to demand salary increases.

In San Luis, the Association of Professionals and Technicians will gather at 11:00 a.m. in front of the Legislature, in defense of public health and full-time contracts.

In addition, in Santa Cruz, San Juan and Chubut, employees asked to reopen negotiations to achieve salary increases.

The growing number of complaints is due to the fact that provincial governments have once again set an increase below inflation and far from reality, deepening the deterioration of living conditions, said the president of Fesprosa, María Fernanda Boriotti.

In this regard, he recalled that the Government proposed an increase of only two percent in September and one in October for the national public administration.

On the 9th of this month, the Executive Council of Fesprosa will meet to analyze the situation of the sector and discuss union measures to support the struggles taking place in each of the provinces.
