Several groups want to protest against a drag reading in Munich. The AfD mobilizes, the police promise “sufficient forces” – and inside there is an appearance by a 13-year-old trans author who raises questions.
On the day before the controversial drag reading for children in Munich’s city library in Bogenhausen, it was above all the opponents of the event who mobilized – the city’s representatives awaited the event in silence. By Monday noon, five demonstrations in connection with the reading were registered, as the district administration department (KVR) announced. Between 3:30 p.m. and 7 p.m., several groups who are critical of the event want to gather on Rosenkavalierplatz. On the other hand, the “Munich is colorful” association, which is chaired by SPD city councilor Micky Wenngatz, is calling for solidarity with the organizers.
