Just before the final was about to start, people in Palestinian scarves and with Palestinian flags poured in.
On NRK’s live stream from the area, you could also see the famous Swedish activist Greta Thunberg appearing. She was eventually taken away by the police. Thunberg also took part in Palestinian demonstrations in Malmö earlier this week.
There is a lot of police in the area, including several Norwegian police officers and police cars that help the Swedish police during Eurovision.
– Shame on you
Some of the protesters stood outside the arena near the queue of people entering the final and shouted “shame on you”.
– You support genocide. Don’t support genocide, they shouted.
A little further away, another group of protesters was pushed onto a side road by large police forces as they approached the area. The same thing happened in the semi-final on Thursday.
