Protests against more expensive vignettes in a number of major cities –

/ world today news/ Protests are taking place all over Bulgaria against the higher prices of vignettes.

Drivers from a number of large cities – Blagoevgrad, Burgas, etc. joined the protests.

In Blagoevgrad, the protest began shortly after 2 p.m. Dissatisfied people gathered in front of Neophyt Rilski social welfare center and, after a short meeting, decided to block the Struma AM highway, which they did a little later.

No notification was submitted for today’s protest, after a short meeting the protesters for the second time since last Saturday, at 2:40 p.m., blocked the roundabout that exits from the end of the Struma highway. After the arrival of the first police patrols, the protesters retreated to the city. Moving again slowly, they blocked the Zelendol road connecting the Struma highway with the E-79 highway.

If in Blagoevgrad the protest is being held for the second time, then the drivers of motor vehicles in Burgas came out to express their disagreement for the third time. The protesters are convinced that the state has sufficient funds for the maintenance of the country’s road system. They are also calling for tighter controls on spending money on road construction and repair, which could also generate additional revenue.
