Citizens protested in front of the presidency building against the policy led by the head of state, Rumen Radev, reported a Novini.bg reporter. One demonstration was organized under the slogan of preserving parliamentarism in the country, and the other – “Bulgaria is with Ukraine” and “No to Racism”.
President Radev’s behavior in recent weeks and days has fueled public discontent, and the manner in which he handed over the second mandate to form a government has spilled the beans.
The flags of Bulgaria and the European Union are flying at the protest. You can see banners with the inscriptions “Resident”, “Rumen Radev is a disgrace to Bulgaria, he is a servant of Russia – the eternal empire of evil”. The chants “This is not Moscow”, “Radev is a traitor” and “Radev is a disgrace” can be heard, as well as shouts of “Resignation”.
“Rumen Radev disgraced the concept of a Bulgarian military man, a Bulgarian general, a Bulgarian pilot,” said a protester.

“Bulgaria is Europe, Bulgaria is a parliamentary republic,” stressed the disgruntled citizens.

“Rumen Radev has spilled like the Volga River beyond his powers and he likes it very much. He took off his mask himself. We are witnessing a special operation to win back Bulgaria from Europe. There is not an employee of racist interests left in Bulgaria who has not been activated” , said the journalist Ivo Injev from the rostrum of the protest.
Politicians from “Continuing the Change” and “Democratic Bulgaria” joined the protest. The co-chairmen of PP Kiril Petkov and Asen Vasilev also joined the event.
“Bulgaria is a parliamentary republic and no one has the right to refuse a legally elected political force to implement the mandate given to it by the sovereign,” PP MP Daniel Laurer pointed out.

“The events of yesterday are a huge proof of what we should do. No one doubts that they certainly have offices, they have money, they have enormous power, enormous influence. I am shocked at what resources and what efforts are being thrown against Bulgaria not having a regular government But no matter what resources they have, they don’t have one resource – you”, PP-DB MP Yavor Bozhankov addressed the protesters, thanking them for their support.
Traffic in the area of the demonstration is closed.

The protesters blocked the traffic along “Tsar Osvoboditel” Blvd. from “G.S. Rakovski” St. to the Rectorate of Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”. Later, the disgruntled citizens marched along Tsar Osvoboditel Blvd., which reached the National Assembly building. There, the citizens demanded a meeting with the people’s representatives to start a procedure for the impeachment of President Rumen Radev.
“Bulgaria is a parliamentary republic, a full member of the EU and NATO, and we must clearly state it to everyone! The president has long shown that he does not work for the benefit of Bulgarian society and for Bulgarian interests, but for Russian ones. His official governments are the most the longest in Bulgarian history since 1990, while at the same time pushing Russian influence into the country and separating us from the European community. We will not allow ourselves to become Belarus! The president must be the president of all Bulgarians and comply with the decisions of the parliament! “, the organizers say.
