“Because we think that article one of the constitution before 1989 cannot be implemented in 2016. Bulgarians all over the world should have the right to vote. This is a right, not an obligation, and the madness that the current National Assembly is doing proves only one thing: Their time is up and resignation”, said the chairman of the United People’s Party, Maria Capon.

The other big reason for the protest is: “The fact that they want to nationalize the second pension pillar”. “This is something that should not happen. People’s private pension funds should not be touched, because otherwise the state will steal our pensions, and I don’t want to be without a pension or with a minimal one after 40 years. That’s why I’m here,” he said.
At the beginning of the protest, leaflets with the popular hashtag #stigatrIKove were scattered by people on the yellow pavements.
