Protesters broke the police cordon and reached the entrance of the National Assembly (Live, updated)

In the first 10 minutes of the announced hour, the protesters against the green certificate blocked the movement in front of the parliament.

At 12 o’clock: The square in front of the National Assembly was filled with people. According to the personal assessment of our reporter, who is on site, there are about 400 people who are dissatisfied with the green certificate.

Half an hour before the protest began, buses arrived from across the country to drop off protesters near the parliament building. However, it is tightly surrounded by police and metal fences. At each entrance to the square there are makeshift checkpoints, where uniformed officers thoroughly check backpacks and bags for dangerous objects.

At 12:50: The whole parliamentary group of “Vazrazhdane” is at the protest, with the exception of Kostadin Kostadinov, who joined the protesters with a video conversation from a big screen in front of the monument to Tsar Osvoboditel. Next to the deputies of “Vazrazhdane” is the infectious disease specialist Assoc. Prof. Atanas Mangarov, who is against the measures and vaccination. In the election, he was a candidate for ABV MP.

At 13:15: Protesters managed to break the police cordon and reached the central entrance of the National Assembly. The action was planned in advance, with groups of men walking around the protesters explaining where and how they would break the “police fence”.
