– In a statement, a group formed by Protestant and Catholic lay members said in a statement that “I condemn false religious people who have fallen into power maids under the prosecution reform.”
On the 7th, officials from the National Priesthood for the Realization of the Catholic Correctionalism criticized the announcement of the’declaration of 3951 Catholic priests and monks who urged prosecution reform’ in front of the Supreme Prosecutors’ Office in Seocho-gu, Seoul. At that time, the priesthood claimed that Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-yeol was the’stuck stone’ of the prosecution reform.
In response,’People praying for the restoration of democracy’ issued a statement on the 14th and said, “In the name of the 100 religious circles, the Catholic Church Reformation Priesthood, etc. I am losing.” He criticized that “this is a partisan idolatry and a sin against God that protects criminals in power in the name of justice, and stops the investigation of living power by lying that the prosecution reform will soon resign from Yoon Seok-yeol.”
“In the name of the prosecution reform, I approve of the launch of the high-ranking public officials criminal investigation office (KAI) and condemn the actions of some religious figures who demand the resignation of Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-yeol.” He said, “I feel ashamed to take the lead of a regime that indiscriminately jumps into secular affairs and destroys freedom and democracy, as if representing the entire religious world.”
He added, “These are just people who take the side of politics with religious masks, protect power criminals in the name of justice, and stop living power investigations with the lies of prosecution reform.”
They said, “We cannot ignore the sins of some religious circles that have been corrupted by the government’s trumpet to halt the investigation of criminals in power with the empty voice of prosecution reform.”
The group was formed by Protestant and Catholic lay members as the main pillar, and 1485 people participated in the statement.
