In Katowice, they demonstrated against changes in the education system
On October 14, in the market square in Katowice, a protest was held against the changes introduced to schools by Przemysław Czarnek, the minister of education and science. The representatives of youth groups of the opposition parties were responsible for the organization of this event.
The choice of the day was not accidental – on October 14, we celebrate National Education Day in our country.

During the protest in Kwiatowy Square, young people chanted many slogans, incl. “free school” or “Czarnek out”. There were – as can be seen in the photos of our photojournalist – many banners (e.g. “Students and fish have a voice”, “NieBać Czarnek”, “We want education, not indoctrination”), which clearly show that not everyone is satisfied with the actions, which is carried out by the current minister in the education department.
The protest was attended mainly by high school students, who demand changes in education, raises for teachers and the immediate resignation of Przemysław Czarnek.

– As the Young Left, we believe that education should be modern, European and secular – wrote the representatives of this party in social media.

Don’t overlook it
– The destruction of the education system is happening every day. Przemysław Czarnek causes this progressive degrenolade, introducing more and more martyrdom in Catholic sauce and talking about “female virtues – we could read in the announcement of today’s Katowice protest, which was attended by several dozen people. They also brought red set squares, which – as the organizers explain – are the main symbol of the “Free School”.
