Details: The Ukrainian Karate Federation reported that the semi-final match ended with a score of 14:11 in favor of Anzhelika Terlyuga.

However, after the end of the fight, the Bulgarian side filed a protest due to the fact that the time on the scoreboard was not showing.

Then, according to Terlyuga, the fight was returned to the middle of the match, where the score was 5:4 in favor of the Bulgarian Ivet Goranova. And the repeated battle ended with a score of 6:4 in favor of the Bulgarian karateka.

Inside the Games reports that the judges mistakenly delayed the fight by 20 seconds.

Terlyuga’s direct speech: “They didn’t add 7 seconds at the end, they didn’t see a problem in the work of the person responsible for the time, they just trampled me with their unfair decision. When they brought the fight back, the Bulgarian opponent ran into the corners and didn’t want to fight anymore.”
