“We condemn the actions of the Russian government, but at the same time we are so disgusted with the machinery of Russian war propaganda that we have decided to drop everything and leave the country,” said singer Ilya Prussikin, according to the Kremlin-critical portal Meduza.

Little Big’s own website names Los Angeles as the new location. The group calls the “Generation Cancellation” clip that was also published there an “anti-war manifesto”. The video satirically mocks the Kremlin’s propaganda methods. Little Big has previously criticized the Russian attack on Ukraine.

In 2020, Little Big was supposed to represent Russia at the Eurovision Song Contest with the song “Uno”. However, the event was canceled due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

This message was broadcast on Deutschlandfunk on June 24, 2022.
