Protection of the Houet backwater: Arrondissement No. 1 wants to put the means into it

From Wednesday March 15 to Thursday March 16, the first ordinary session of the year 2023 of the special delegation of district N ° 1 of the municipality of Bobo-Dioulasso is held. This session takes place at the town hall of the said district under the chairmanship of Siaka Kouenou, president of the special delegation.

It is the general code of local authorities that rules it. During the first quarter of the year, the councils must organize a session. At this first session of the year, the special report of the authorizing officer must be presented. This is what was done yesterday in Arrondissement N°1. Before starting this session, the members of the special delegation validated the draft agenda submitted by President Siaka Kouenou. In this agenda, the council must examine and adopt the minutes of the 3e ordinary session of the year 2022 of the special delegation of arrondissement N°1, initially. In a second step, will follow the examination and adoption of draft deliberations authorizing the signing of a partnership agreement between the Basic Education District of Bobo I, the DAKWENA cooperative and the associations: GNATAGA of Farakan, KANDI, les Tigresses, and Sauvons le marigot Houet. For the sake of good participatory and inclusive management of the district, Siaka Kouenou finds it necessary to sign agreements with associations that will be supported by the town hall to enable them to carry out activities that concern the community. This is the case of the association Save the Houet backwater which must be equipped with the necessary tools for the protection of this heritage which has experienced pollution leading to the death of hundreds of catfish in recent days. To also support youth, especially young girls, the council says it wants to support a women’s football team: The Tigresses of Bobo as part of the promotion of women’s sport.
