SOFITEX in collaboration with the CIL (Commission de l’Informatique et des Libertés), organized a training workshop on the protection of personal data for the benefit of all of its department heads. The opening ceremony of the said training took place on Wednesday March 15, 2023 at the industrial direction of SOFITEX.
This current awareness and training session for SOFITEX department heads on the protection of personal data follows that of all directors of the institution (SOFITEX) held on Monday, March 13, 2023. According to Marc Nakannabo, Director of Information Systems at SOFITEX, the main objective of this initiative by SOFITEX in collaboration with CIL is to facilitate declarations to CIL of the processing of personal data collected so that SOFITEX is in compliance with the law. “SOFITEX, like several other companies, is committed to digital transformation. All the solutions we implement collect, process and disseminate personal information. As an example, we work with producers and we collect their identities and localities which are data that we must secure. This type of training aims to raise awareness among all players for better protection of the personal data collected. suggested Marc Nakannabo, Director of Information Systems at SOFITEX.
“We are proud of SOFITEX’s approach”

SOFITEX as an administration, according to Law 001/2021 on the protection of persons and with regard to the processing of personal data and the obligations, SOFITEX must respect the principles of the law in order to protect personal data. staff. This training will make it possible to provide the rudiments necessary for the respect of the principles and the law”, declared Marguerite Ouédroogo/Bonané, president of the CIL
