EL NUEVO DIARIO, SANTO DOMINGO.- The Ibero-American Federation of Academies of Cinematographic Arts and Sciences (Fiacine), made up of 13 countries in the region, chaired by the Dominican Republic and bringing together more than 7,000 members of the Ibero- American audiovisual industry, expressed the need to protect and defend the region’s cinematography against attacks and promote and develop opposition policies, especially in Argentina.

“We believe that it is necessary and necessary that the governments of our countries protect creative freedom, culture in all aspects and promote the audio-visual industry. We understand that we are united by languages, history and memory, and that is why we stand in solidarity with representatives of culture in Argentina that have been denied​​​​ bad policies of closure and work stoppage at the National Institute of Cinema and Visual Arts (Incaa) , in their study and exhibition areas,” said a public statement from Fiacine, chaired by Dominican academic, producer and screenwriter Luis Arambilet.
