Quds Press reports the call comes as Israel continues to hunt down the escaped convicts.
Taher Al-Odwan made his comments in response to news that six Palestinians had escaped from Gilboa Prison, Israel, which is notorious for its extremely high security.

“Prisoners of heroes, who freed themselves from Israeli occupation, explain the plight of thousands of other innocent Palestinian prisoners,” tweeted Al Odwan.

“These prisoners have no flaws unless they work for the freedom of their homeland and their people from the dirtiest occupations,” he said.

The former official expressed hope that the fugitives would be protected from spies, intelligence and collaborators of the Israeli occupation.
